Recipe Stripper is a browser extension that extracts recipe content from web pages you visit and displays it in a clean popup.
Recipe Stripper does not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share any personal information. Specifically:
When you click the Recipe Stripper icon, the extension reads the current web page's HTML in order to extract recipe information (ingredients, steps, title). This reading only happens when you actively click the icon. The extracted recipe is shown to you in the popup and is not saved or sent anywhere outside your own browser.
If you use the "save recipe" feature, the saved recipe is stored only in your browser's local storage on your device. It is never sent to any server. You can clear it any time by removing the extension or clearing your browser data.
activeTab: lets the extension read the tab you're currently viewing, only when you click the icon.scripting: lets the extension inject a small piece of code into the current page to read its structured recipe data.storage: lets the extension save your saved recipes locally in your browser.None. Recipe Stripper does not use third-party services, analytics, or APIs.
If we ever change how the extension handles data, we will update this policy and note the change here.
